Bridesmaids and Groomsmen Gift Idea

You've chosen the people that mean the most to you in the world to stand by your side on your day.  That's the hard part, now after all the $130 dresses have been bought the toes have been squeezed into the dress shoes your friends are more than ready to join you at the alter to bear witness to this wonderful day!  A lovely way to make them feel special and to give them a small token of your appreciation for the late night craft sessions and the bachelor party is to present them each with a gift at the rehearsal dinner (or any other special time during the wedding weekend).
There are several variations on these gifts ranging from the simple to the extraordinary, but they don't have to break the bank!  Below are some examples of great gifts for every budget!

Day of "Disaster Prevention Bags"...

Good Afternoon,
Today is all about disaster prevention!  There are a lot of different versions of this and includes all types of different tools to help prevent wedding day "whoopsees" and to prevent them from happening!  I think some of the best things to include are:
1.  A small mirror, portable and tiny so you can sneak a peek at your wedding day look
2.  A handkerchief/tissues to dry your tears of joy
3.  Bobby pins and small travel size hairspray to prevent fly aways and keep your flawless hairstyle in check
4.  Small comb to help with the unruly pieces
5.  Lipstains stay on longer than lipstick and wont get on your teeth! (some of my favs are, Benefit Cosmetics Benetint and Stilla Lip and Cheek Stain)
6.  Clear Band-Aids for those little blisters on your tootsies
7.  A "Tide To-Go" stick for those unseen spills
8.  Blotting papers for lovely shine free photos
9.  Dental floss or picks don't want to get caught on camera with food in your teeth!
10. Nail file to smooth out rough nail edges to prevent picking on delicate fabrics
11. Gorilla Glue to fix heels, jewelry or any beading that may come off
12. White chalk to cover up any spots on your wedding gown
13. Double sided tape to keep clothes in place ( I recommend TopStick toupee tape)
14. Extra earring backs for all the beautiful bobbles
15. A mini sewing kit including tiny scissors, needle and thread, extra buttons and SAFETY PINS!
16. Travel size perfume for all day fragrance
17. Mints for all those people you will talk to
18. Eye drops all the crying can cause red eye
19. Aspirin/Tums/Alka-Seltzer for head and nervous tummy aches
20. Straws to stay hydrated without smearing your lipstick

This covers pretty much everything, any other suggestions or stories of your "Disaster Prevention Bags"?  What would you include in yours?

Thoughts and Prayers

A somber post this morning... I wanted to send out prayers and thoughts to the families and loved one of those affected by yesterday's devastating storms in the south east.  Please have a moment to send a prayer up for those who are suffering and a thank you for those of us who made it thru.

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Good Morning All!  I thought since we are getting rained on every other day down here in GA, I would look on the bright side and talk about the beautiful flowers that spring up after all the gloomy rainy days in April!  I wanted to get some examples of different seasonal bouquets.  I am getting married in June, so I have a LOT of colorful gems to choose from like hydrangeas, dahlias, daisies, cosmos, garden roses.  The list goes on and on... I went searching for some bouquets for all seasons for a little inspiration!  If you have gotten married recently, please post pics of your bouquets!

peony bridal bouquet
Peonies are a beautiful choice for spring bouquets!  They mix well with other flowers, are available in a variety of colors from fuchsia to white, and have a wonderful fragrance.  http://bridalclarity.com/index.php?/faves/entry/beautiful_spring_wedding_bouquets/
Fall Bouquets are a mixture of rich jewel tones!  Filled with bright oranges, deep purples and fiery reds these bouquets will definitely stand out!  Fall bouquets can also be filled with other fillers such as berries, pine cones, fruit.  You can really get creative with the deep colors and textures in a Fall Bouquet.

Seasonal flowers are a bit limited in the winter, but that is no excuse for a wimpy bouquet.  A classic way to embody the Winter spirit is using gorgeous white roses.  Roses are in season all year round!  By choosing a classic white or pale color combo you will complement the winter season with grace and style!

There are tons of flowers to choose from for you summer bouquet!  Garden roses are a wonderful choice; they mix well with a lot of other flowers.  Other choices include daises, hydrangeas, cosmos, dahlias, etc.  Just make sure that your bouquets stand up to the heat!
